Our Die Formed Wire Mesh has many applications such as packer elements, back-up rings, case seals, scrapers filters, and high-temperature seals. UTEX also has a process (#4219204) whereby knitted wire mesh is molded in conjunction with homogeneous rubber or other materials to act as an anti-extrusion device. Our 80 years of industry experience has produced thousands of products for our customers and unique specific materials to withstand the most extreme conditions.

Applications & Materials
- Wire mesh process increases temperature range from 400F – 750F.
- Seals can also be protected against extrusion by reinforcing corners with fabric across the e-gap, the surface area of the seal cannot increase to push through.
- Fabric can act similarly to springs by preventing rubber from extruding into gaps when under pressure but can do so at a much lower price.
